Position posting: Supervised Visitation (SV) Facilitator 9/28/22
Chehalem Youth and Family Services is seeking qualified individuals to implement a grant in the part-time temporary position of Supervised Visitation Facilitator. There is potential to move to full-time regular employment with the growth of the program. This position coordinates services and supervises visits between children and their non-custodial parent and documents the visits. The purpose of this service is to support parent visits with their children who are living apart due to a variety of reasons. The SV Facilitator is supervised by, and reports to, the SV Manager. You must be available for a flexible schedule that includes weekend, weekday, and evening supervisory work at our Newberg facility and potentially other locations as the program grows. Typical visitations occur between the hours of 9 AM and 8 PM.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Excellent communication and relational skills
- Ability to observe carefully and take accurate, legible handwritten notes
- Assertiveness and intervention skills to ensure the safety and comfort of the child
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness of the needs of minority populations
- Excellent scheduling, organization, problem-solving, and case management skills
- Ability to utilize agency computers for reports and paperwork
Currently, this is a part time grant-funded position with the potential for growth to full-time. Wage is dependent on experience with a range of $15.00 to 16.00 per hour.
