Mentoring Connection

Are you ready for a rewarding experience? Would you like to be a powerful ally for a young person?

Mentoring is an effective way to harness the power of positive role models to maximize a youth’s potential. Not only do mentors provide opportunities to thrive, they help youth feel supported and valued by influencing them to build the “good stuff” in their life, and resist the “bad stuff”.

The Chehalem Youth and Family Services (CYFS) Mentoring Connection Program currently has over 30 youth, between the ages of 11 – 18, wanting and waiting for mentors. Our volunteers spend one to two hours a week engaging in fun and meaningful activities with their mentee for at least 12 months.

If you would like to join us in promoting positive behaviors and attitudes for youth, please contact the Mentoring Connection program at 503-537-8062. The Mentoring Connection provides services in partnership with Yamhill County Health and Human Services, Family and Youth Programs
